I learned so much about early life in Tazewell County, VA at the museum. I lived here for many years and still discovered a lot of things. The area saw a lot of farming and coal mining over the years. The museum just opened the Corn Maze for the fall and it is in the pattern of a quilt, one of the many local handicrafts you see in the museum. The outside has an early village with buildings for cooking, curing meats, cold storage, corn cribs, metal working, and shoe making. Absolutely worth the $5 admission!
