The last week, I have been learning my way around the area. First things first, food! I am so happy that we have Kroger here. I shopped in the largest Kroger I have seen, complete with clothing, housewares and more.
I have a Kentucky friend who introduced me to Skyline chili years ago. I had to rely on frozen chili, but have now had the pleasure of dining in a Skyline restaurant.
I had my chili 4 way with cheese, pasta, cheese, chili, cheese and diced onion. Did I mention cheese?

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change.
Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy.
For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way.
Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!

Looks like you had a wonderful day exploring Kentucky- my kind of places ! Beautiful pictures!!
Every time we go back home to Ky. Skyline is one of our 1st stops and then Graeter”s ice cream, we then know we are back in God’s country. Eat a 3-way for me and a Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream.
I am really enjoying getting your blog info. I will share with James and get him on board as well. Haven’t been to Calabash but once in the past 2 months. Hope to get back soon. I have been so busy with trying to help get mom and dad’s homeplace sold and helping grandson with golf. How very exciting. Look forward to next read and pictures. Take care,
So good to hear from you! My time coming through Gastonia was spent at the DMV! I had to get a license and change over the tags on my vehicles, so my time was spent in line. Thank goodness I still know all my road signs. Next time we speak, I hope you tell me the house is sold. Take care and hope to hear from you again!
