Back to Billings, Montana

After sailing back to Tampa, it was time to start heading north. Mom & I flew back to Myrtle Beach to pick up our dogs. Our dogsitter Michelle took such good care of Cappy & Izzy while we were away.

We picked up mom’s car & headed to Charlotte to spend time with my son, Rob. I hadn’t seen Rob since I started traveling & it was so good to have the three of us all together. Unfortunately, I had to fly back to Billings the day before Thanksgiving.

I arrived in Billings and spent Thanksgiving day at my hotel. There was plenty to do there while resting up for the road. The hotel had laundry facilities & I was able to get all of my travel things laundered. The hotel also had a sauna!

Cappy was very appreciative of all of the pet amenities, too. He was given a goodie bag with a treat & they had a nice green area for him so he didn’t have to potty in the snow!

Doesn’t he look relaxed?

We also had some artwork around the hotel. There were several painted big horn sheep we admired.

We had a great seating area outside, too. The lighting was beautiful to watch as the colors changed.

The day after Thanksgiving I picked up my SUV & camper. Time to get on the road & head to my next job in Taos, New Mexico.

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change. Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy. For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way. Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!
