Adventures in My Daily Commute to Taos Ski Valley, NM

I love my job at The Blake in Taos Ski Valley.  Every day I leave home at 11:30 am so I can be on time & report for work at 1 pm.  It takes about 45-50 minutes to drive up the mountain.  Employee parking is a 10 minute walk from the hotel—if you get a good parking spot.  Busy days can be challenging & the walk can take a little, or a lot, longer.

I filmed the video below yesterday highlighting our free parking shuttle service. You will be amazed at how beautiful day it was & I actually had a great parking spot!

Luckily, we have parking shuttles that pick up guests & employees from the parking areas.  Parking & the shuttles are free.  Shuttles rotate through the lots all day for pick up and drop off. The drop off/pick up location is just a short walk to Lift 1.

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change. Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy. For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way. Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!
