Mom & I spent our last day in Rome on one of the Hop On & Off tour buses. I use them everywhere I can because they are so convenient. Rome’s tour was packed with stops at all the highlights.

A Day in Pompeii
The next day trip mom and I made was to Pompeii. We had a wonderful tour guide, Julia, who is an archeologist. Her commentary made the tour & it wouldn’t have been nearly as enjoyable without her.
A Stop in Pienza, Italy
The last place we visited in Tuscany was the town of Pienza. The name Pienza comes from Pope Pius II, who was born there, and it means the city of Pius. A Daytrip to Tuscany
Our tour of Tuscany began with fresh baked croissants & espresso. Our first stop was in the Val d’Orcia region, near Siena. A local tour guide led us up a steep road through a gate into the small town of Montepulciano.
