Amazonia Work Must Haves

1. Work Badge

At Amazon, your work badge is everything. You enter and exit the buildings with your badge, you clock in & out with your badge, you can even shop with your badge. (I will tell you more about shopping with your badge later!)

2. Comfortable shoes & clothes

This is the most lenient dress code I have ever experienced and it is fantastic! No dress clothes. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes.

3. Beverages

As with any job, it is important to stay hydrated. Amazon provides coffee and ice water 24/7. I was pleasantly surprised—the coffee was great! They also have ice machines that are perfect if you are an ice aficionado.

4. Lastly, some TLC for those sore muscles.

Biofreeze is my best friend!

My body clock is all put of whack, but I am starting the first of three days off. I promise to answer all of your questions in the coming posts.

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change. Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy. For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way. Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!

    1. I can honestly say that Amazon is an amazing company to work for. They value their employees, the benefits are excellent and if I was full-time, I would make more than I did at the library, and I worked there for 10 years!

  1. SO neat following your posts! Thank you, Christi, for allowing us to do so! And yes, I was never fond of night shift either! Hard to ever feel really ‘rested!’ Blessings for fun days off!

  2. I love, and a bit jealous, to hear about your adventures. What a great opportunity to work at Amazon and see how the whole process works. So what do they do with the returned items?

    Hugs
