The Woolaroc Museum

The main entrance to the museum.

The Woolaroc Museum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma has a wonderful collection of Western art and artifacts; Native American pottery, baskets, beads, blankets, and cultural art.

Material from approximately 40 different tribes is displayed in the collection at Woolaroc Museum.

Have you heard of the Great Pacific Air Race?

In 1927, the Hawaiian Pineapple Company offered $35,000 to the first two flights from the mainland to Hawaii. Frank Phillips and the Phillips Petroleum Company entered the race using their new aviation fuel in their plane, Woolaroc. They won first place with a time of 26 hours, 17 minutes and 33 seconds.

Woolaroc Welcome Center

Woolaroc is a special place. I plan on visiting again before my time ends in Kansas!

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change. Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy. For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way. Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!
