The last two days have been so much fun. I received a message from author Sue Ann Jaffarian saying that she was headed to Glacier & hoped to meet up.
If you aren’t familiar with Sue Ann Jaffarian, pick up one of her books at your local library or bookstore. I began reading her Odelia Grey mystery series many years ago & it has always been one of my favorites. She began traveling full-time in her Winnebago Travato camper van four years ago. I was lucky enough to schedule her speak at my library in Calabash, North Carolina when she was in town. I learned a lot about her lifestyle & she inspired me to start my journey on the road.

She arrived at my campsite Saturday evening. After catching up with each other, we settled down for the night. The next morning we had breakfast with a fellow camper, John, who I met on my shuttle van. He is from Cincinnati and lives near the Mushroom House. You may remember it from one of my earlier blog posts. He spent his time at Glacier hiking the trails in the park. He has hiked many of the parks across the country and has lots of good stories.
Sue Ann & I started our day at the West Entrance of the park and drove east on the Going to the Sun Road all the way to the St. Mary Visitor’s Center. We stopped at many of the sights along the way and took lots of pictures. The day couldn’t have been more perfect. It was in the 70s, sunny & the smoke had moved out for the most part.

The leaves are beginning to start turning beautiful colors.

I am ending my time in Glacier on high note and can’t wait to share my next adventure.

Beautiful pictures, Christi. Glad you and Sue Ann criss-crossed paths. What a way to cap off your stay at Glacier.

Love that you met up with Sue. We were putting a gift basket together for a fall fund raiser and I had Sue’s book , The Ghosts of Misty Hallow and we decided to put it in the basket , today. Coincidence? Have a great visit. And keep on sending beautiful photos.
