Vacation in Rome

After arriving & checking into the hotel, Mom & I were ready for our first meal in Rome.  We walked to a local restaurant & had delicious dinner at Pinsa e Buoi. 

Pictured above, we had a roasted eggplant appetizer, fresh foccacia, two types of pasta: Cacio & Pepe & Carbonara,  along with a fresh cheese plate.

Walking around the local area, we saw lots of local art, architecture & lots of small cars! 

Mom was presemted a red rose by a handsome Italian man, too!

After our dinner & walk back to the hotel, we were ready for a good night’s sleep. The next day was a busy one & I will tell you more about it in the next post!

  2. Looking forward to your future posts in Italy! Having just finished Frances Mayes’ book ‘A Place in the World’, she so well portrays life in Tuscany, and loves Rome! (And I could be your mom, receiving a rose from a handsome Italian man ) 🙂

  3. After a rough start, that was a welcomed meal, omg, bet it was sooooo delish too!! Looks so good, I can taste it!! Yum, How nice your Mom received a lovely rose, hope she gets many more too!.. place looks awesome, I could never find parking for my Suburban there lol.. looking forward for pics thanx for sharing again!!

  4. Brings back memories of our trip to Rome before the pandemic. Ate at a few out of the way non-tourist restaurants recommended by our hotel staff. Great meals! Not sure even my Chevy Malibu would have made it through some of the streets our taxi took us!

  5. Wow I’m glad I don’t have to drive there. The parallel parking must be a real challenge! That meal looked delish! Looking forward to your next installment of Travels with Christi!!
