Hopping On & Off in Rome, Italy

Mom & I spent our last day in Rome on one of the Hop On & Off tour buses.  I use them everywhere I can because they are so convenient.  Rome’s tour was packed with stops at all the highlights.

The Basilica of Santa Maria

We were able to see the Circus Maximus, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Roman Forum & so much more.

Arch of Constantine

We had a delicious dinner in the Jewish Ghetto.  One of our tour guides recommended the fried artichokes, which originated in Rome’s Jewish community & is a specialty there.

We had kosher Pasta Carbonara & some of the most delicious broccoli in Rome.

After our dinner, we visited the Trevi Fountain.

We had a wonderful time in Rome but didn’t have enough time to see & do everything we had on our list.  Rome is a wonderful place to visit & we hope to go back soon.

Hi! I am Christi, a full-time RV traveller since August 2021. I have always loved to travel, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. I was fast approaching 50, my condo was being placed up for sale and I was ready for a major change. Originally from a tiny town in rural Southwest Virginia, I am the mother to one son and a rescue Shih Tzu, Cappy. For the last 20 years, I worked in public library systems around the Charlotte & Myrtle Beach areas. I met some amazing people and made great friends along the way. Follow along on my adventures as I travel the US. I hope that our paths will cross one day!
